Manual shift Conversion
I'm one of those guys that likes to do his own shifting, so anyway. I was looking in SI (service information) the other day and came across some info on the new trucks having a manual tranny,?! So I immediately investigated, apparently it is still standard equipment in mexico, so I started looking up parts in the parts catalog and have figured out all that is needed to complete the conversion if anyone is interested. I may start this on my truck in the future.

RPO code is mxo, it is a 5-speed of some sort, it appears to be different than the previous gmt-800 that came equipped with a manual. The master cylinder and slave appear to be of the same design as previous models, "IF" I were going to be doing the swap, it would get a t56 like my '05 Silverado got.

Hi the 5 speed manual is only on the v6 280 hp so it is the old v6 engine not the new one
It won't fit the v8 Eco 3
It's flywheel issue the old v6 and v8s comes with 6 bolt crankshaft so 6 bolt flywheel
The new engines eco3 comes with 8 bolt crank to flywheel bolt
You can do the swap you need gm 99 to 2006 nv3500 trans
Custom flywheel from ram (8bolt gen v engines) 10 spline I nput shaft clutch drive shaft

Sorry I have been away, work has had me tied up and I haven't been able to check back, viper2fast, the info you posted is partially true, however as it pertains to what I posted, it is incorrect, I double checked the vin that I used to obtain my info, and as I stated its the New Body style with the Gen V DI v6, which also has the 8 bolt crank just like the v8's, so as I stated anyone interested just let me know and I will shoot you the info

Just saw in the GM performance catalog for 2015, they are offering a clutch kit and T56 tranny to bolt up to the GEN V engine. Sweet! Now all you would have to do is buy the clutch pedal and associated parts for that then buy trans kit, then figure out the electrical then you can

Bad news
Well I got the parts guy to start getting my parts ordered, we were slow one day at work so I pulled my truck in to rotate and balance the tires, while I had the left front tire off I thought I would pull the wheel liner out to find where on the firewall the master cylinder would mount. I know on the old gmt400 and 800 trucks there is a dimple on the firewall where you can cut with a hole saw. I could not find such. So I lowered truck to inspect from topside, nothing. So I started looking at all the info I had printed off when it dawned on me, CRAP!!!! The hole is already there it just has a body harness passing thru it . so not wanting to do major electrical work on a new truck this project has been scrapped.
