Looking at 2500's

The 2500HD is a lot more truck than the 1/2 tons..... I had a 2015 6.2 half ton and now a 2017 3/4 ton. There is no similarity in the chassis or the components... not even remotely. The 1/2 tons run mickey spaghetti leaf springs in the back and the 3/4 tons don't...... still run torsion bars up front. 9.25" ifs instead of the 8.25 junk...... 10.5" full floater 14 bolt ( or 11.5" on the 1 ton single wheels) instead of a 9.5" 12 bolt..... way heavier frame..... bigger transfer case...... 6L90E..... etc.

Yes these 2500HD"s last a lot longer.... I work in an environment a lot harsher than anyone replying here does and these things take a beating. They aren't fast..... but then no stinky slow overpriced diesel either.... and now one you can't tune and who know knows when so deleting that garbage DEF isn't happening. Diesels are good for guys towing heavy constantly..... and that's about it lol. Everyone else buys one because they think they have a race truck..... a slow heavy *** boring race truck.

Anybody know a good dealership in the country to get the lowest price on one? Does GM even run good rebates on the 2500's?

I did a quick compare with that dealer to the one 2 miles from my house and the WT and SLT/LTZ models are very close in price. Mid 30's for WT models and mid 50's for top models.

Outrageous what they charge for just a few options lol.

Purchased my GMC Acadia from them earlier this year. 8 hour drive each way. Not sure how they do on trucks.
