Im saying beat the **** out of it!!! ....lol ... you said you have a weak tranny you cant get the shift pressures right ? i bet a $beer you wont/cant kill it cooler addition or not.

Beating on it means so much to so many people,I have seen posters kill a 4l60e in a almost new bone 2x4 stock 4.8 truck, somehow they destroy the trans, more than just one.... we/I have seen guys with 5.3 turbo 500 HP 140k miles and 4L60E vette servo trailblazer converter trans still living
Beating on it means opinions vary

Sadly when i build a trans or an engine, the initial test drive will either break it or its going to stay together... Probably the hardest 12 miles they will ever see, unless its a tahoe or caprice ppv!! I put them through two drive cycles driving normally enough to set any codes then i will make sure i hit every possible condition the car could see!!! Very rarley do i have any come back!!

Yes, get with OP. in another thread he mentioned using a tstat block in place of tstat and has had no issues. I think he said trans temps run in the 160's all the time now. I dont remember all the details

My 6l80 reached 210 on one occasion towing at altitude(highest point of the tow really) have driven 10k since that time, all seems to be fine. I wonder where the max safe temp is on these? 225 maybe?
