Default K2xx Additional Transmission Cooler

Has anyone installed an additional Trans Cooler on these new trucks? I am getting ready to do a 6L80 HP Trans Build w/Converter and a Maggie TVS 1900 and i am thinking the trans will need some additional help in the cooling area. Any and all comments welcome

Going to a tru cool 20 or 40k should be more than adequate.... The 6lx0 transmissions have to get a bit warmer than the 4lx0 did to be considered Normal operating temp... Cant even properly check the fluid level in them until the reach 148 or something.... Need look it up again, but even most of the self diagnostics wont run until they reach a certain temp...

Damn...Thats not bad. On a trip to the Gulf Coast i was running 85MPH the whole way and it ran 200 degrees at an 95 ambient temp which is why im asking. I think my trans has been fucked from the get go.

If youre seeing 200* temps with the factory auxillary cooler you have a converter/pump issue... Especially if you arent towing!!

I see 194 all the time driving daily loaded in the heat. I have a tru cool 40k but it wouldn't fit behind the grill with the blower HE. I have yet to get to it but I've researched mounting it remote. Probably have to. Circle D says 6l80s run very hot and really need additional cooling.

Glad somebody brought this up cause i've been wondering myself. Mine runs 195- 202 driving to work (58 miles interstate) most days. Of course it climbs in stop and go around town also. Been wondering about a bigger cooler

200+a little, normal hot running unloaded, that is right where GM wants it,previous Gen was around 175*,AUX cooler or not, just cant beat on these boosted trucks like they are race cars ,then you will be fine.
