You need to weigh what the warranty costs vs repairs. If warranty is 1500+ you can pocket that money and pay out of pocket for most any repair of electronics in the truck and still be ahead. GMPP warranty is only one worth a damm but you are going to pay dearly for it

$700 for the running boards from the dealership

Aftermarket looks to be around $360-380 but I'm not sure they will look as good or last as long?

$500 for the same running boards online, bingo.

Signed on the truck, picking it up after the new bed liner goes in.

The pricing that I was given for GMPP:
"Bumper to Bumper" extension (but excludes the laundry list of things it seems) This includes the power train as well. He didn't seem to know a lot about these warranties
5yr / 75k - $1975
6yr / 75k - $2295
7yr / 100k - $2978

The "Wrap" extension sounds like it extends the bumper to bumper from 3/36 to 5/100, that was $1883

It's probably not his "money maker" so he does push to sell it.

Exactly. I actually signed everything for the truck on Thursday. They tried to sell me their 3rd party BS warranty. I cut them off and said I want GMPP only. Needless to say, they couldn't figure out how to get me a price, so I finally got one today.

If anyone on here is more knowledgeable about GMPP, please chime in. Not sure if the warranty is worth it. This SLT has a LOT of electronics so I figure one thing going wrong would cover my warranty.

I was disappointed to hear they no longer do the "if you don't use it, you get a full refund" anymore.

It is transferable if you trade your truck before the warranty is up...and you get that off your next warranty.

I always get it, but I have a friend at the dealership who gives me cost on it. along with cost for the box liner etc. I also don't pay doc fees.
