That would’ve made it much too easy... So we put an 8L90 in it. The word “put” I just used has about two weeks and 25 headaches worth of value! The Transmission was by far the hardest part of this build. The custom trans mount we had to build, modifying the GMPP harnesses so the ECM, TCM, BCM, and FPCM would work together seamlessly, getting GDS2 to program shift solenoid characterization, and a pile of other obstacles made it more fun than I care to share without cussing. Oh I almost forgot, Carolina driveline built my driveshaft, I blew the first one up at 125 mph with light throttle. I’m now boxing up the third one they’ve sent us so I can risk my life on version 4.0 in couple of days!

Really cool truck, seems like there could be more in it. 0-90 in 11 sec approx.Pretty risky making the 8L90e swap with the extra length of it and an extra short driveshaft steep angle and mating the electronics.
The concept was to use all the GM parts you could(think) mission acomplished

Yeah there has to be a ton more in it. Think mine probably runs better than the vid but still great setup I wish I had it. It needs something else probably just the tune. Should be much quicker and will be when sorted out a little more. Very sweet I wish GM would do this, the 2018 Ford F150 is available with a Roush Whipple rated 640hp with 3yr/36000 mi warranty. Not that I want a Ford but still... Get on the stick GM! Kudos to you guys for doing this.
