It's not. It's a y pipe with a 3.5" third cat... then it necks to 3" at the valve behind the muffler and if off a crew cab the actual tailpipe is only 3"... not a good setup at all lol.

Are the mid pipes any larger than the 5.3? Youre not going to get good flow out of any factory truck muffler. Could you guys replace the muffler and that section of pipe with a big magnaflow to keep noise down?

It sounds like you kind of know you arent going to find a factory option that will work but you are asking us anyway. You will have to make slight adjustments to get what you want...

I'm using Borla part # 19131346.

It's a huge case round muffler. Noticeable at idle, nice deep throaty sound when you romp on it.

No rasp either.

Default Borla Pro XS

I ended up going with a true dual setup starting after the right and left bank cats. We did away with the 3rd cat. 3” throughout with 2) Borla ProXS to calm the noise but still keep a straight through system.

Wow, snappy. You can tell that torque is instant from the RPM movements. If they can get that thing to hook it'll be a real sleeper.

woah! This is killer. Did you use the original trans that was bolted to the 5.3?

Transmission seems confused.

Didn't stay in 1st long enough, upshifted, then downshifted again.
