Thanks, Gonzo! As for mods, good idea but it'll be a while. Just paying for the truck kinda broke the bank, and I'll have a good baseline of stock performance by the time my budget recovers.

You'll actually want to run it harder right now to break it in, mainly with rpm by using the gear selector.

Nice! My dad spent my inheritance on a 2019 GMC Denali Dmax a few months ago and man is that thing nice!! lol. It's loaded. He took it in for it's first service yesterday (already has 3000 miles on it, lol) and now we have a Banks Deringer tuner to install! lol But I have to say, those L5P diesel get up and scoot just in stock form!

I've always gone along with the idea of loading and unloading the rings, keeping rpm within reason and using on- and off-throttle to accelerate and slow down over and over. Yeah, I use the gear selector to make this more effective, but I won't be wringing it out up to redline for a couple thousand miles. Just old fashioned I guess ... or just old.

Lol, yeah I spent money on this truck that otherwise would have someday given my two kids a nice gift, but the bright side for them is that they'll be able to fight over a nice pickup.

The Banks tuner ought to be awesome, Gale Banks and his company know how to make power!
