Default C7 lifter problems?

Not a truck but did not know where to post this, but here it goes. My buddy just purchased a C7 vette, car barely has around 150 miles. He just noticed what he says sounds like a ticking lifter. Im trying to get a vid of it. I know these motors have not been out much, but does anyone know if other vettes are having problems? Dealership said not to even turn it on, and they will pick it up on Tues. Oh and oil psi is at 30.

I have heard that Direct Injection engines make a lot of injection noises, but that's probably not what it is...It is, however, something to lift your friends spirit with while he waits to get it fixed.

Now that I think about it, they do make more noise. I noticed it right away after he picked up the hood when he was showing me the car.

Probably the direct injection as stated before. Those new injectors have a lot of pressure through them

Heres a video of the idle, noise is coming from the right side, also seems like car was not topped off with oil. Looks to be about 4qts low also, SMH.

Like stated. Its prob the direct injection. I know on the trucks they put the mechanical pump down in the lifted valley to make it quieter.

If its 4 QTS low that's why its rattling. They hold 7.

My buddy said it was low 4qts. I just checked the dipstick and it barely has any oil. General manger at dealership said heads were going to roll since they did not do a precheck of the car, and if they had to open up the motor, they were going to buy back the car and sell him the owners new vette which has yet to come in. Either way with the low oil, were just gonna rather wait for them to check it instead of us just adding the oil. Rather be on the safe side.
