Default belltech 3/5 mcgaughys 3/5

I know that this has been discussed in the past but i have not found anything on this current new body style of truck..

I had a 2010 sierra i did a 3/5 drop and choose the ground force kit and loved it

they are not making anything for the new body style...

I remember when researching the kits back then the Mcgaughys spindles were not machined correctly and the ball joints didn't seat all the way into the spindle
and if memory serves correct they didn't have the tight turning radius that the ground force did....

Again i thought the ground force kit was awesome and it came with the transmission spacer and everything and the alignment was very close after installing

I recall that the belltech spindles had alignment issues

maybe all that was just hearsay but Im looking for opinions on what everyone thinks now

Thank you in advance

If you have pictures of your ride dropped please throw up a pic of that too!

I also plan on running the stoptech 6 piston calipers again too so if there is a spindle that is more robust then the other thats great info too as some machining does need to happen to make the big breaks work with the stoptech kit (at least it did with my last truck)

I used belltech on my '12 and '15, no problems. Spindles, coils, control arms are the same for those trucks unless you have the aluminum arms. Struts have a different part # I never looked into the difference. For 3" or more drop use the 2511 spindles to take care of the camber.

Did you use the "C" notch kit from them for the 7" rear drop?

I love how your truck sits! Did you have to roll or bend the seam under the truck for the drop shackles?

Yes I did... The easiest way I found is to beat it over with a hammer to get it started and then use a floor jack and a 3' stick of 2x4 and place on the bent over seam and jack it up. It will lay right over for you.

I wouldn't mind doing it, but my fear is cracking the paint and now it's a place for rust to start. I do plan on daily driving it year-round in Minnesota
