All good info and ideas

Redxray. I'm not as young and nimble as I once was, only 41 but feel 80 due to the life I've lived, so I think it's time to get a scrubber on a stick. I've been using a bar stool to stand on or getting up in the bed and standing on the rails. Perfect cocktail for falling and getting hurt.

Retrax pro mx all day long, its aluminum and has rails for yakima/thule cross bars, plus its able to support decent weight on top.

or you have a 4th gen dodge truck... apparently they just randomly unlatch on their own

How Dare you sir!!! I wouldn't buy a Dodge or FCA "Ram" for my self.

I only have GMT 800 trucks myself currently.

Either way thank you for the recommendation. I want to see what the good, better, best options are.

yep, that's what i said for the last 15-20yrs, but when it come time to look for something that still had the things i needed, a GMT800 or the 2018 dodge i bought were close enough in price... and my dodge had 100k-150k fewer miles' worth of wear to remedy.

what sucked was that my peragon bed cover wouldn't transfer (2" too long), so i ended up buying the armor flex.

It's cause Dodge falls apart the farther you drive it. You know it starts with some little trim pieces falling off here and there but then suddenly you are going down the highway and your whole paint just strips right off.

haha, to be honest - i've contemplated a GMT400 or K20 next time around, so who knows what'll happen next?
but then i'd have to buy another bed cover.
