Default 6l80e guys......

The wife's Yukon needed a filter/fluid change before we set off on our month long camping trip. I found this guy on eBay. He takes new OEM pans, welds a bung in them and powder-coats them black.

For a $100, it's nice.

Knowing I'd be attempting this soon, I started with researching on how to get the pan off. Luckily my OCD, a 2x4 and a ratchet strap paid off. I did disconnect one of the rubber hangers before I started ratcheting down on it but was able to get it down far enough to get the pan off.

Never mind the Hotchkis sway bar.

I just suck the fluid out the dipstick tube lol.

Long tubes make fluid changes easy. Just saying.

I really dig that pan and wanted one. But I have a fluid evac machine with a super long tube so I use that

Pulling the pain is such a pain in the *** on these trucks...

I was either going to do a evac machine or the pan. The pan seemed the better option (for me at least).

It took me longer to get the pan out than it did to remove the filter/pan bolts/cleaning the magnet.
