I'm guessing no. I would have expected an announcement of some sort by now.

Nothing on this particular truck but I did read where GM is developing a high performance Silverado and it may share performance upgrades with Tahoe as well. Forced induction is being considered as one of the possibilities.

Cannot remember where I read this however here are 2 links referencing the Tahoe with RS & SS appearance packages still being considered. Sorry I could not find the other article.

Won't happen. The days of high performance street trucks for gm are over. By bringing another gas guzzling truck or SUV hurts there overall EPA on gas mileage.

It will not happen on a large scale, however there is always a market for limited editions especially with Americas love of performance. The new C7 ZO6 will eventually come with their new 8 speed auto 8L90 transmission. Initial speculation is 30 mpg hwy and the same transmission eventually will be used in trucks. GM has a twin turbo 4.5L V8 planned for their big Caddy "El Mirag" so a few possibilities exist to achieve both improved performance and improved fuel economy.

Ill quote myself here and see if GM will prove me wrong. if they dont change it this is going to have a hefty price tag to go along with all its other expensive new performance vehicles.. You can buy a base model rcsb and do alot to it with todays aftermarket for what this is going to cost imo..
