Yeah, Hog, I know that they're the most efficient and all that, perfect on paper, but I like the sound of the motor rpm rising in each gear and falling back with the shifts. Listening to a steady load drone (or moan) from the motor staying at its torque peak while the cvt ratio changes continuously as you build speed would be torture. The only cvt I've heard about that might be kind-of-sort-of fun is the Subaru that has sport mode where you're "shifting" a simulated six-speed trans manually with paddles. (But they don't make a V8, so never mind.)
