Default X-M Atenna removal?

Have any of you guys taken this off the top of your truck? Its about the only thing keeping me from getting into most house garages.

It bolts on thru the roof, you have to remove headliner to unbolt it, then you would need to weld up the hole and repaint roof. Not a cheap or easy task. Wish mine was gone too.

Do you know if it comes apart maybe? That was definitely not something I wanted to hear. But thanks for the information. I might just have to take a sawzal and cut it.

Well the kicker here is that I dont even use my XM radio at all. I can always find something on the local stations so I really dont even need it. But I see what your saying. Thanks for the advice!

I bought one off ebay and when it came in I couldn't see any way to remove the top safely. Needless to say I relisted it and sold it on ebay.

It looks like the top will come off (thats why I bought one) but I couldnt figure out a way to disect it without ruining it (gorilla hands)
