Exclamation what do i need 5.3 to 6.2..

hi. im new here and i have alot of Qs...
first:
is the new 5.3((2007+))a 4 or a 2 main bolt

second:
do i need to change the hole block or just the cylindrs and heads..

why:
i am gitting a 2009 sierra or silvy 5.3 crew cab short bed with the 6l80e do i need to upgrad the tranny to hold the 6.2 400+hp((we dont have the vmax or the 6.2 and we cant order them too ))...will it hold the power or just crack up like the 4l60e..im an off road guy and i am from saudi arabia so i need the truck to be tuff as hell with my 100+miles in the desert with no roads...will the 4WD TCase take this power..

i want to do all that cause the tundra is coming to us in 2010 and i hate to be beaten by a toy

you'll want to get the whole engine and intake manifold. I believe you'll need a new wiring harness because the 6.2 has VVT and the 5.3 doesn't.

what are you intending to do, order an engine from usa and install it?
new or used,
a used 6.2 may be hard to find.
get the whole engine , pcm, harness , which ever way you do it.

why not put a tvs1900 on your 5.3, you'll get good power WAY WAY easier

My cousin had a 2007 4.8l in his truck. He pulled it out and installed a 6.2l with no problems. same wiring, sensors, and etc....

I do believe that ALL LSX blocks are 6 bolt main. But as stated, use the entire engine.

Default ecm

Yes it will work. You do need the longblock with intake. He had it put in overnight and tuned the next day it runs real good.
