man going from 2wd to awd sucks! I'm glad mine is 4x4 already so I just have to swap the t-case and front drive shaft. Good luck with the build man, should be sick.

I know what you mean ig109. I always said I would just do the 2WD 6L80 instead of the AWD version but then after a couple of days of driving a supercharged AWD TBSS I changed my mind. But after doing some research I just dont know if its worth it. I mean I already have the 6.2/2WD 6L80 in the garage, should I really sell this combo just so I can get an AWD combo which may or may not work. I will admit though that an AWD RCSB would be pretty sick.
I have an awd 6L80 with the transfer case and the front driveshaft. How many miles are on your 6.2/6L80 combo?

I had one with 2200 miles that I wish I could of kept but I sold it to a good guy in Colorado. The one I have right now I traded my quad and some cash for and has about 11,000 miles and is in pretty good shape, only thing missing is the throttle body and computer. Why you ask?

I am not going to go with the 6l80 anymore, my guy wanted more than what i had at the time so it got sold.. Going to stick with the 4l60 until it pukes, then do an 80e swap.. I got the case over the weekend.. Came with trans but i have to give that back.. I am going to continue the hunt for the front diff and take it a step at a time..

Ok.. Got a text from my parts guy that he should have all the front diff and stuff for me on Friday.. So if that is true.. and i can afford it all at once i will be doing the convert sooner than i thought..

Question: So i hear alot of people bitching that that TBSS AWD is terrible in the winter.. That they still get shitty like a normal 2wd truck would... Is that the case with the SSS as well.. I am going to be honest.. The winter traction is one of the main reasons i am doing this swap.. And if there arent going to be any gains to be had from doing it then im going to bow out and stop now..

Any way to change the bias of the "center diff" on the transfer cases??
