I thought the L-92 is what these heads debuted in and the LS7 head was a factory ported version. Since the LS3 came out using the same unported head I see them referred to a lot as LS3 heads too.

The way I understood it, the lore was they decended from the LS7- could be all wrong; but we have'em. These heads are clearly worthy of a 408ci block.........

Haha, I was already thinking that a 4" crank would fit right at home in the L9H. I think it would be a 414 though...could be wrong.

I thought the 14bolt and rear disk was only on the NHT 3:73 trucks which is not availible with Z71.

OE trailer brake?

White always looks great.

I had this Convo in another thread Gonzo, Apperently all the 6.2L Trucks get the 14bolt/Rear Disk rear. As far as the 3.73's go, you got me lol

They sure do, what an upgrade for 2k. Z71 DOES include the K5L so that is 9,400lb towing.

congrats. i also took delivery of a brand new 6.2 this past weekend. First off i can make a suggestion for the catback. if you want a cheap way but good sounding/great performance bolt in, magnaflow has there off road series catbacks for our trucks. they call them off road because the dump under the bed with a turn down. no big deal really and it has some benifits. here is what i did.

I ordered a borla race muffler 3.5 in/out. Its stainless steel and 15 inches long. its a borla XR1 straight through bullet. all i did was cut the stock exhaust off in the rear with a sawzall in front of the right rear tire. i than used nice stainless band clamps and put my new muffler on with a stainless turn down to match. It sounds really good, a lot of people were impressed. it also only took 20 minutes to do. the rear section of the exhaust i cut off muffler, resonater, and piping must weight 50+ lbs its unreal.

as for headers ARH 1 7/8 longtubes all the way. there next but im getting mine with the high flow cats.

I will be going with cats too, otherwise it is just too loud. I do like magnaflow (have one one my GTO) because it sounds good but is nice and low and not too loud.
