my next improvement is drive shaft. My truck is a nnbs extended cab 4x4 6 speed. can I do a 2 piece out of a yard or would it be better to just get a 1 piece shaft made up. I have a Fleet Pride here that i think would do the shaft.

Got any pics of the install. Wondering about the placement of the cross member? I measured about 35" behind the trans and it looks like the evap equipment may be in the way. mines a 11' 6.2 ec 2wd.

I didn't get any pics of it going together. Yes you can turn the the evap sideways and it'll work just fine

Mines ext cab too and I've got the same till evap.
My front shaft is "36 so I'm gonna mount a 1x3 bar just under the evap and then in the middle ill have a support for the bearing.

Delivery is supposed to be tomorrow. This wait is killing me haha

Anyone with pics and specs on a cc? What shaft the truck is out of? Most nbs I've seen are aluminum shafts, these shafts out of 3/4 tons or what?

Good install! Did you measure the front shaft angle? Just curious.

If it is a 2 pc DS out of a NBS it is steel as for all i have seen and the big POS one pc in our NNBS are aluminum ... Im not sure on the Club cab ones since ive only gotten under and looked at the Extra cabs when i was huntng for new DS after blowing mine to hell ... Went ahead and got the 5" heavy duty aluminum one pc from DSS OF San Antonio ....no issues at high speed 100+ so for but im on stock rear end w/3:42s and only simple bolt ons n tune ... Future mods to come

I didn't. I just used a level and put a very slight downward angle on it. I don't have any vibrations...yet but I can always shim the bearing as needed
