Looking for a shop in or around the North side of Houston that can turn off the AFM on my 08 Sierra and how much does this usually run?

Is that all you want? I'm sure one of the Tuners can do it and you get a tune out of it..... Otherwise you can just buy a Diablosport and shut it off. I have one if you want to buy it.

I'm assuming you are talking about just shutting it off electronically. IF you are talking about removing all the DOD parts, that's an entirely different process.

Electronically should be fine, I just can't stand the two tone sound from the aftermarket muffler. Like you said, if I'm getting this done I might as well have it tuned.

 

is there a way to turn the dod off with the tune? if so can anyone please tell me who can do that? im about to kill myself if i keep hearing the different sounds of the muffler when the dod kicks on vs it off

 

Yes you can snowflake. Get a tune and they can do it. I could do it with my handheld diablo but I prefer a real tune like I have now.

 

That was the main reason I got a Blackbear tune. I have a pretty mellow exhaust and it was driving me crazy going from 8 to 4 cylinder mode. I cant tell if my mpg went down or not yet because I cant keep my foot off the gas after the 93 tune.

 

well i have a tune but my tuner didnt turn it off. ill tell him next time to turn it off for me thanks!!
