Default True dual muffler selection

My Y-pipe setup does not agree with 420ci so I'm changing to a true dual X-pipe setup exiting before the right rear tire. I've tried to imagine which muffler would be the right pick for clearance and location (center/center or center/offset). Before I buy two mufflers that aren't what I needed I was wondering if any of you guys have done this or have enough experience to visualize which choice would work best. I love my 3.5" Magnaflow so I'm planning on sticking with them and going with their 5"x8"x14"(20"oa) body. Thanks for the input.

Should be lots of room right around the front of the pan to drop in 2 of those Magnaflows.

Get some scrap sheet metal, and get something half *** fab'ed together to mimic the muffler you have now, than do a test fit. Vertical placement is likely your best option, or if you dont have that room, vertical and off set...one muffler in front of the other, get them as close to the pipe as possible

I eliminated my Y pipe and made my own true dual exhaust. Coming off the cats I ran 2.5 pipe into a X pipe and then into a Magaflow dual in/out muffler. It is dumped right after the muffler before the axle. It's pretty loud at idle but not bad while driving. In retrospect it is actually too much for my set up. But I have plans for a bigger motor in the future that it will be better suited for.
