Tru cool installed!
#1
Well last night i started on the tru-cool 40k install at 11 p.m, first thing i did was replace my HIDS then after that everything came off. Install was really easy and this is coming from a person whos never messed with this b4, at first i was a little lost and was wondering why i needed the Napa Part #: "730-4953 BK" but i soon realized that you had to take the old parts off the harden tranny lines and snap these on. The old part came off pretty easy. To get off just take a point ended tool and stap off the silver clamp hats on the bottom.
Be VERY causious when buying this part (Napa Part #: 730-4953 BK) i was given the wrong one at NAPA and went back to get another one, but they only had 1. I found 1 at O'Rileyes and they were very helpful! Auto zone and NAPA were very confused! After i put the part number on the harden tranny lines it was very easy after that it was just a matter of placing the cooler where i wanted and bolting it down! Overall time (with me overthinking everything, researching the install, and putting the HIDS in) took 2.5 hours. Im Pretty pleased once the the cooler started to work tranny temps quickly went from 160 to 138 with me driving hard!
Overall very pleased and it looks really good! Cant wait to tow some stuff with this new cooler and new 4.56 gears!

After the gears are installed Im going get my dads 32 foot welcraft offshore boat from New Iberia which is about 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours away should be very interesting how it tows with the gears and what the temps stay around. Right now trannu will get up to 220 and its a dog. So hope the tru cool and 4.56s make a beg differnce.
