Question Torque Converter???

What converters are everyone running and are you towing anything with these trucks? I've been told to get a Yank 3200 stall. I drive the truck on the interstate every day and don't tow often, but still need to. All suggestions would help! Bye the way I need this truck to hual a$$.

Yank and Precision Industries are the forum favorites. Yank offers both a billet and a more affordable converter. For towing it's recommended to stay with a 2600-3000 rpm stall. A trans cooler is highly recommended also.

my idea around getting a TC is waiting till u stick all ur mods on.. getting a dyno done then seeing where ur peak power builds up... get the stall accroding to that.. it'd be a shame to buy a lower stall when in the future ull upgrade and then find u need a higher stall!

i had a yank 3000. it was fine for towing. it was a great mod. made driving fun.

the problem i made was that i didn't have a tranny cooler and a tune to go along with the TC. i messed up my tranny

i have heard everyone say "i wish i had gotten a bigger stall" over and over again i wanted 2600 so i'm going to go with 3000 or 3200 probably yank, everyone can't be wrong.
