Default Tire Questiones

Stock 17's and stock suspension 2wd Sierra Ext:

Can I put a 285-70 on there vs the 245-65 now?

"For aesthetics only," I want a bigger tire without rub.

Thats 32.7 and the stock 20's are 31.9 so those 285/70/17's should fit fine on stock wheels.

I think you'll get rub on the 2wd, at least my friend did, but a leveling kit should take care of that.

Didn't want to take the chance of rub so I went with a 265/70. Got the Michelin LTX A/T 2's.

The ride got harder but handles better. I'll run it through a car wash tomorrow and take some pics.

It would have not rubbed....I've seen 295's on these trucks clear on stock wheels.
