Default Tach options

The stock tach only goes to 6k, and my truck doesn'tshift aautomatically when I have it pulled down. So Ineed an aaftermarket tach that goes past 7k. Is there any plug and play harnesses out there? If not how would I hook one up?

I drag race in 3rd. As for harness, I am not sure. I would look around on Ls1tech as allot of car guys have aftermarket Tachs.

This would be really cool in a NNBS Cluster ^

Or you can install an aftermarket tach in a gauge pod or pillar pod. You can pull your tach signal from the cluster wiring and the gauge will only need power and ground and power from the headlight switch(or any source of power with the headlights on) for illumination.

I do. The Black Bear tune makes it shift more accurately than I can with the little "+-" manual thumb button.

I don't have tu/td on my truck

Would the aftermarket tach read/pick up past 6k if I sourced the signal from the factory tach? I wouldn't need to pull signal from ignition source or coil pack?
I'm amazed nobody has come out with a plug n play harnesses for aftermarket tach!

It'll read the signal, as long as you get a tach that goes high enough
You'll still need your standard fused 12v and ground but for the rpm use the factory signal!
