Daily driven, id take the TVS all day long...i have the tvs2300 in my fat yukon and its awesome...instant power and it gets out the whole very well even with stock gearing...up-top, you can tell it tappers off...

I have a vortech (almost same as procharger) on my 4.6L 5speed tbird...i cant even spin the tires off idle if i engage the clutch at idle and floor it... until it hits like 3k then its burn out time...

For my daily id take the TVS...driveability on street is awesome, and always there when you need it...my GF doesnt even know its there other than she hears the whine...then she says it sounds likes "dying monster" from the whiny noise...

 

whats the difference between a 1900 & a 2300?

 

I dont know exactly how they measure it but i believe its 1.9# of air per revolution or seconds or something vs 2.3#

someone should be able to explain it

I always thought the 1900 was perfect for the 5.3L and the 2300 was for the 6.2L...iv seen the 1900 in many 6.2L...on ur 6.2L stock motor the 1900 should be plenty...but will run out of steam if u want to more down the road...i have a 3.2" pulley on my stock motor (compared to the stock 3.4") with a magnaflow muffler and it moves pretty awesome...i want headers and a cam to finish my daily driven setup, but as i said, it is daily driven so i dont wanna ruin my already mediocre MPG

 

No offense to anyone intended, but in many cases a whiny noise in a vehicle is actually originating from the girlfriend or wife. Just sayin' ....

 

You are correct...my answer to her "sounds like a dyin monster" under normal driving is "why dont you mat it and hold on for a second and see how dying it is!"

 

you spent more on your supercharger then on my ring! Well honey I figured the Supercharger was the better investment.

It is how much air is moved in one revolution of the rotors. The 1900 moves 1900ccs of air per revolution.

GM uses the 1900 on the LSA motor and the 2300 on the LS9...both 6.2L motors. The LSA can make 700hp with the 1900. That said, I'd prob go 2300 on a 6.2L as well, for future growth, cooler air temps, and the fact that you don't have to pulley it down quite so much.
