silverado rear view mirror help!

Long story short, mirror got ripped off the windshield but it came apart at the ball joint that the mirror swivels on. I've tried heating both pieces with no luck and tons of frustration. Anyone got any tips?

idk how to fix it, but if you can't, go the the pull and pay and get a new one for like 5 bucks. Just match the plug on the rear abd you're good to go.
