I wanted to do that in my 06, but I couldn't figure out how, I think the chime is part of the stock stereo.

As for the Seat belt, in the my 06 all I had to do to turn the chime off, was to unplug the 2 wire plug going into the seat belt latch.

i dont know about the 06's, but in mine it was in the dash, where all the wires come together and they plug into a box, i dont even know what its called? but anyway you unplug the wires, pull the box out, theres four latches on each side that you can pry open with a screwdriver, then the speaker is attached in the corner of the box, i took a pair of pliers and just broke the speaker. you cant remove it because its soddered on to the rest of the chip board, becareful not apply to much pressure or you will break the board!, or you can just put some eletrical tape on top of the speaker and put back in, i tried this, but you can still hear it faintly.

sorry it was a bad discription, but heres a better way. take off the lower piece of the dash under the steering colomn, turn on the your parking lights, follow the sound of the chime. it should lead you to it. good luck

Don't bother, it's not there on '03+ trucks. Like you said, the chime goes through the stereo, through the driver-side front door speaker. Never tried unplugging the wires under the seat, but it sounds like it works.

Taking out my center jump seat in preparation for my full console I found where to unplug the seatbelt chime. Pictures below.

Its the rear most plug.

Cool.
Does the door chime still ding with the door open/key in?

My uncle just got a '08 and the door chime is driving him nuts.
