Damn man.. I was really hoping to see 3.73.. Is there a substantial difference in terms of performance between 3.42 and 3.73's? I'd think with the 6sp 3.42's would be fine? Anyways thanks man I appreciate it.

I've driven lots of 6.2 with 3.42 and they run great. You can always put what u want in it after you buy it, then tune it. It will be a different truck all together then.

3.42s with the 6L80E act like if you have 3.73s 1st gear is aggressive already 3.73s would be sweet too. Just depends how tall your tire is and what plans you have for the truck.

My 11 z71 with 6.2 has 3.42 gears and has rear discs...pretty sure most 6.2s come with the rear discs and 14 bolt with or without the max tow package. I personally don't like the 3.42 gears, but I came from a tundra that had stock 4.30s. Seems like the stock 6.2 with 3.42s doesn't get going from a stop as good as I would have expected, but with a tune and UDP it does alot better. Not too many people seem to buy into this, but I think the udp was just what my truck needed to get going faster from a stop.

My old 2009 silvy LTZ ccsb had the 5.3 engine with 6 speed trans and 3.42's with 20's and it was a 4x4. The 09's were the first year for the 6 speed trans but only in the LTZ packages. It also had the 10 bolt rear. Nice truck but didnt have the pulling power I was after to pull my ski boat. The 6.2 truck in sig is same trans, gear ratio, and wheel/tire size and a totally different animal altogether. It does have the 14 bolt rear though.

Thanks, v8hunter, I forgot that some of those things in the Max Trailering package were included with the 6.2 motor. It was - and is - kinda confusing how they include certain options and bits with other items or packages that you order.

I don't really understand the max trailering package. As from what I've seen the truck I'm looking at has all the options the max trailering has except for the 3.73's
