Default Rear mount battery opinions

My 08 V Max CCSB could probably use a new battery. I kinda wanna put 2 Optima red tops under the bed at the right rear corner, kind of as an icy weather traction aid. I'd also like how it would clean up the engine bay a bit and theoretically maybe help braking. I'd make an aluminum box so the batteries wouldn't get beat up bi gravel. I live in Canada, and it's actually -25 outside right now, so i need some cold cranking amps. Should I do it? Or should I shitcan this pipe dream? Opinions?

Why 2 batteries? Also the idea isnt a bad idea, just costly to do bc you should run big wire kit imho

I have 2 batteries in my truck. They are in the stock diesel location. I was having trouble with the 1 battery supplieing the starter so added the 2nd and she rolls out.

All it takes is some thought and planning. If your wanting 2 batteries then do it.

I'm thinking 2 batteries cause a single Optima in the trunk has a bit of a hard time cranking my Olds. That IS a 10 to 1 495 stroker though... And I want it in the back if I do it. Already have most of the cable too.

Im also wanting to move my battery to the bed. All the way back on the passenger side to offset some of the driver weight.
