Default Quick long tube question...

I've got an 08 5.3L and I'm about to buy some long tubes. I know pacesetter I know that the 06 model headers fit, but I noticed that they have some type of air tube with a flange on them. I just got into trucks, and I was wondering if they were completely compatible, or is there some modification that had to be preformed before the install is complete. Sorry for the dumb question, but I don't want to get them and install them and have nothing to put on the flange. I just did not see anything on the OEM manifold in that area that would have to be hooked up. Thanks in advance.

You can get them without the EGR port.

If you end up with a set that have the EGR port you can always block it off.

The ones that I got for my 08 did not have that tube. Not sure if they will fit perfectly. I know some of the styles you have to modify/change a bolt on the steering column because it hits the headers. I got a good deal on the dynatechs and they slid in with no fit problems at all.

The pacesetters with the port come with the block off plate. That's the ones I have. No probs so far.

I ordered the Pacesetters today. They'll be in Thursday! Woohoo. I'll post a few pics. Maybe a few during and after the install if anyone is interested. I'll be powdercoating them as soon as I get them out of the box...with high temp texture black. They're gonna be sexy!
