Well I got some HIDs for my birthday and installed them today.
What a PITA!

On the low beams I got the bulb in, however I couldn't get them to turn and lock into place. They just barely turned so I left them that way for now.

Also the fog lights went In so smoothly in less than 5 mins however they have just the pins that stick into the connector and I'm worried they might come undone. Anyone have a trick to keep them in place??

FYI they are 55w 6k low beam 35w 6k fogs.
Boy do they light up the road!!

 

i used a needle nose pliers, grabbed the ends parallel to the floor and turned them carefully. tight fit but they turned, didnt break anything and they lock in place

 

I've probably put in 20 sets of HIDS. DDM are always the junkiest. Even the ebay ones seem to be better. The bulbs are a lot easier to put in if you take the housing out of the truck. Its only two bolts.

 

for the wires- you can buy a connector from places online and build em. or use some heat shrink and di-electric grease to keep the water out.

55w hids, man thats too bright.

Yeah DDM tuning is poop. They are making their products cheaper and cheaper to stay ahead of their competition. I only use Kryptonbulbs now.

I haven't put my ddm's in yet but you have the same set I ordered.

I really wish some of these guys here would make up their mind on what is a good quality HID set. One month it's EBAY great few months later everyone says their crap. Which I concur because they didn't last worth a damm in my truck. Next month everyone says DDM is the best then a few months later everyone is ragging on them. Does anyone make a set that is bar none the best and will last as well as OE HID units.

 

DDM's lights seem to work great! Actually i have to turn on my headlights before i start my truck at night or my driverside won't come on,. I'm waiting to hear back from them about this problem. Seems weird to me. My fogs work perfect! I'm thinking i might need to put 35w in my lows too.

 

iv used 6 different sets of DDMs on different vehicles and haven't had any problems yet. I went through 3 set of ebay HIDs before i found DDM. they r great for what they are.
