Great info Definitely have my work cut out
Without the shocks, i can use 1 arm to bounce the rear end to the point that it bottoms out without using body weight.

I could pile 2 fat girls on the tailgate of the silverado to make it squat 1". It didnt hook for **** on slicks.

I forget that you were playing with a manual trans truck. I can see stiffer is better mentality in that application.
It's a th400 manual valve body with tbrake.
Definitely good info

QA1 Stocker Star Shocks TS403 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
Thanks George, This is what I have. Rule of thumb I was told is you want 60% for compression so that's where I have them at. But everything is adjustable if I need more or less.

Yes they are. My truck is pretty low.
On a side note I wired my front left abs/ wheel speed sensor to the purple and green vss wires. Still no speedometer.

Did you adjust the revs per mile to match the and sensor?
There's a write up on ls1tech to do so

I did not. I will try and search on ls1. Just figured it would work but be way off. Definitely appreciate the help.

damn. only about 4" travel. for street use, set them in the middle. for track use, you may try collapsing the shock some more to make sure you have 2.5-3" of extension travel on launch. it will never hook if it extends to the point that the shock bottoms out. my truck only has about 1.5" downward travel but it works for me since im much lighter than a full size.

there will be a lot of leverage on those upper mounts. you might want to look in to strengthening them some...
