TE is Texas Edition. But 6.2 Z71s don't get 3.73s either. Neither do GMC Offroad Sierra 6.2s. Any option that doesn't allow you to get the NHT Max Trailering Pack will by default eliminate the 3.73s from the option list. The only way to get 3.73s is to order NHT and make sure not to order any conflicting package.

That truck looked sweet the way he set it up. A lot better than I pictured it based on your description. I wonder how vinyl looks after sliding through the brush? I would love to flat-black wrap mine and powdercoat the wheels. I want to murder mine out but I don't want to spend the $ for something that is purely aesthetic.

I will get the picture up. Is it the door one, or the glovebox?
Also I talked to body vinyl guys today while getting my subs in, and they said matte black would be about $1500. Much cheaper than a paint job, not as permanent, and probably repairable.

Well he said the transmission is completely custom. It does have all six, as I put it in manual and found them all. Maybe the transmission ratios? Is there any way to tell differential ratio without openening the diff?
Did a little research, and it seems, when they build up the 6l80's they only change the clutch packs, and not the ratio. My guess, is that they switched the gears out without him knowing everything they did. It has to have 3.73's. What do the 3.42 guys say about this theory?

I don't know what they say but you most certainly have a gear swap. I knew that rig didn't come with 3.73s
you definitely have 3.73s (or maybe 3.90s, depending on whether you have OEM tire height and whether you are at or slightly over 2k at 70mph).

Just a touch under 2k maybe 1900-1950. I figured there were gears too.I wonder if he put a new converter on as well. Any way to tell that?

SO... Put some 93 in today, and I guess the dealership was kind enough to put 87 in. It seems to be running better. Behind the fuel door, I found a sticker though.
It said, "Premium Only. Supercharged Engine". It was a Magnuson sticker. This raises a question. If it was tuned by someone for the blower, would the tuner have returned it to stock? The transmission is still tuned, but I can't tell if the engine is.
Is there a distinct way to tell if I have a custom tune? Or possibly a stock engine tune, with a tuned transmission. If the latter is the case I will be contacting a tuner...
