More details will help. Any new mods lately? Been swapping out any brake light bulbs recently?
If its just not activating but the switches on the steering wheel are lighting up you probably need a brake switch. Thats just the most common cause but would be a cheap shot in the dark.

you are pushing the cruise control turn on button before pushing the set speed button, right? figured i'd start with the easiest possible cause first. if you are it probably has something to do with the brake switch like stated earlier.

Bringing this back up... found this info on another truck site...
A/C Delco# D1586H, GM# 15861245. All you need is a 10mm wrench and a small screwdriver to pry the clip apart.
I haven't tried this yet but I do know that my turn signals flash at erratic rate and it looks like my right rear tail light had water in it (looks corroded)... the comment above about swaping out brake bulbs has me thinking it may be part of my issue...
EDIT:: Change out a bad rear bulb.... still no workie.... I guess a new module is next....
EDIT AGAIN: Got a module from the dealer ... works now...
