Possible new truck

i went to a high volume dealer. they actually did invoice minus 100% of hold back plus all rebates and buried themselves in my trade. not sure how they made any money on me! he realized i was dragging my feet and well i guess it's not the best time to be pushing 6.2 trucks so he offered it up to me.

Yeah I could have done the same thing if it wasn't a GMS sale. That's several grand right there that's automatically gone. They will do very little above and beyond their current discounts once that's thrown in there, especially since I qualified for all of them. Oh well. The point with the high-volume dealer thing was at the service department I might have more room to negotiate, not in the sales department. In your situation, the sales department paid the service department to do the remote start. In my case, they can't, and the service department will not negotiate. So I will try to go to a smaller dealer where I can try to get a lower price. Oh well, I have other things going on, I'll deal with it later this year.

Just traded my 2011 5.3 I bought in Jan. for a 6.2 NHT Max. WOW what a difference!
GMS is a set package price for each vehicle not a discount off of MSRP. The dealer has plenty of room to roll down the price. GMS does not affect their margins at all. Rebates, dealer cash, floor plan, inventory cash, unit bonuses, etc. As far as the service department techs do not want to give up their flag rate to do someone a favor! Most are like the rest of us, family to feed and bills to pay. Some dealership service management will short change the techs if they discount anything.
My new truck has the AP8 as well. Not important to me but would be kind of cool (no pun intended) to be able to pre-cool the truck in this Texas Heat!

My 2011 5.3 was a GM buy back! 1 camshaft, and 2 engines in 6k miles. Amazing what camshaft debris will do to an engine when the engine when the engine oil cooler is not properly cleaned out.
The 6.2 truck was 4k more than the other truck but well worth it. I have only had it a week so haven't really pushed on it very hard yet. But driving familiar roads and hills it does not downshift like the 5.3 just pulls through it! Can't wait to hook on the the race car trailer and see how it pulls!

I have ran a stock lighting a tbss with exhaust and tune I was door to door with the tbss and had the lightning by 1/2 a car till i hit the speed limiter. I am loving this truck cant wait for a tune. Are these normal results?

double047 runs a 13.5 with a tune and a stall. These trucks are fast with minor stuff done. Mine just happens to have a lot working against it, weight being the major factor (2.8 60ft). I have so much extra stuff in mine I guarantee it is well over 6000 lbs...
