Default Performance Input/advice

2007 Vortecmax NNBS crew cab 4x4 with 295/70R18 tires. L76/4L70e

Have Airaid MIT
K&N filter
MSD wires
NGK55 plugs
Pacesetter 70-2267 (1 7/8 primaries)
Y-pipe without "cats"
3" exhaust

Getting tuned by Blackbear December 12th.

Plan on Trans swap later so no need to waste money on converter for now.

I read that I have 39 lb injectors and found part numbers. (12576341 LS7/LS3/L76 39lb/hr fuel injectors EV6 conn. Short body)

Justin says my stock thermostat is fine.

So my question is there anything I can do to pick up a few extra horsepower prior to having him tune it? I was gonna upgrade to 8.1 injectors but after finding out that mine are 39 vs 42 it's not worth it until I do a cam swap. All advice or input is appreciated.

honestly all these, colder t stat, msd wires, bigger injector mods have about as much power gains as a throttle body spacer. you need a reason to get bigger injectors, they'll still flow the exact same amount they do now...you'll just have the ability to go higher if needed
your MIT and LT's are your only power adders right now. but you said you dont have cats...so why would you mention a cat delete? and have you been driving around with the engine light on? cause you'd need a tune for LT's and no cats

I still have the stock thermostat and Justin with Blackbear said it would be fine. I wanted bigger injectors for the simple fact of running the same power level but with less duty cycle. I had a diesel before this so bigger was better to a point.
My wife bought me long tubes last night for Christmas. So I haven't gotten them installed yet and my exhaust guy said he could make me a y pipe that has hollow cats for inspection purposes. Just was wondering if there is any benefit to having high flow cats vs no cats other than the smell decrease and money.

sounds like your set on what your going to do.
If i was i your shoes I would not spend the money on the trans, just do a vette servo, maybe to a transgo .Instead of spending the $ on a new trans spend it on a head/cam pkg.
Hey thats just me.

BTW are you doing your own work or are you paying retail for labor or??
