Default performance expectation??

just wanted to ask what kind of power and performance should i expect to get from a 224/224 581/581 cam in my 08 5.3L? Ive got stock 3.73's, K&N CAI, Longtube pacesetters, custom y-pipe, vette servo, 3000 circle d stall, borla w/ an electric cut out available. so far ive gone 14.67 out of 1 pass with my 22's. A few more passes would have seen 14.50 i think.... What do you all think?

That cam is probably going to want more stall, but if I were you, I would go with some 4.30 gears runnning those 22s. 4.30s and your 3k stall should do just fine....well for at least until you get bored with it, then you can just juice it

ETA: What is the main use for your truck? Do you ever pull anything?

well, its my daily driver, every once in a while ill carry stuff on the bed but nothing major. reason i went with 3000 stall is because i didnt want it to rev up so much to move off a red light. and as far as gears go, im not sure about going that low on gears. im even hesitating on going to 4.10 because i dont wanna sacrifice a lot of the driveablity yet. not sure how it'll drive with 4.10's on the street with the 3000 stall. cuz it will spend most of its life on street/racing, not much on the track.

also, i plan to run that cam for 1-2 years then remove it and go supercharged. In the mean time ill do some research on blower cams since i will be replacing the existing valley cover, lifters etc.. for this cam swap. I might as well get a cam to accent the supercharger. With this in mind, what do you think?

i think that cam is just fine with that 3000 stall, a bigger converter wouldnt hurt,

big wheels eat almost a half a second. try some 26 or 28'' drags and soem lighter wheels up frot and u may see some 13's

after the cam or without it?

i was thinking of getting some 17's up front (275/50) and some 18's on back (305/40) drag radial for the track and to cruise the street for a bit. i think it would look good and still be able to perform.
