I got a reply back from driveshaft specialist.
not really what my wallet wanted to hear haha

"Thanks for the inquiry.
Not good news from me either.
While my 5.0x.125 Alum shaft is stronger than the OE it doesn't necessary have
a higher critical speed. Physics still apply and at this length the critical speed
on my driveshaft is about 5000 rpm. This would be max speed in a 1.1 gear which should be 4th.
What ever this rpm calculates to in road speed would be the max you can ever go - in any gear
as driveshaft speed is the same at 90mph whether you are in 3-4-5 or 6th gear.

The only way to go faster is with a 2pc steel shaft as you have much shorter tubes supported in the middle.

If you get me the tire size I can see what the max mph would be with the 4.10 gears.
Thanks,"

I had the same issue with driveshaft specialist so i jus ordered a custom 2 piece DS from PST and welded a X member in place. your truck is pretty much the same as mine but the tail housing on the 6l80e is a lil longer so you might run into issues of the x member being in the way of the gas tank. but if you know someone who can weld and fabricate then your good to go

I think this thread is turning into a "how to 2 piece" thread haha.
I'm gonna have to put it back up on the hoist tomorrow and see how much room I've got from the trans to the fuel tank to put a cross member in and then re report back to dss about making a two piece

But if anybody cares to share their 2 piece cost info that'd help me on the whether this mod is getting done asap factor

How long is too long before needing a two piece? Is a factory RCSB shaft in the safe zone for higher speeds and rpm?
