I drove a NNBS at work. I liked the brakes. I disliked the ride, steering and seats and thought the transmission felt sloppy, too. I'd rather drive my NBS anyday.

Agreed. I have both and I have no interest in buying a T900 for a personal truck. The seats in my 05 kick the crap out of the ones in the 09 ( both trucks are SLE's) not to mention I like the interior that doesn't squeak creak and rattle over every bump in the highway like the 09. The LQ4 actually produces some useable power whereas the LY6 in the 09 needs to be on the limiter to start doing anything...... then it shifts and starts over.

The 09 is my daily ride, it's a company provided truck. No thanks.

Are your trucks 2500s or VMaxs? I drive 2500s at work and my daily is a 1500 6.2. The difference is like night and day, I love my truck; the power was great, and now with the tune it's even better.

The 09 is a 2500HD and the 05 is in my sig. I had an 06 1500HD bofore that was a love hate thing ( the 06 was a complete lemon as it was a company truck and none of the others we had fell apart like it). Otherwise I liked the 06 so I bought one that has been 100% trouble free!

I don't talk about it because usually a war ensues, but here goes. I ordered a 2010 NHT extended cab 4X4 (6.2/6L80E/3.73's) back in Nov 2009, drove it when it came in in Jan '10, and told the dealer to keep it. I drove 4 6.2's, including one with some miles on it and was never remotely impressed. I can see being tuned making them more interesting but I don't want something I automatically have to mod to make bearable. The '10 I ordered was the worst as it honestly had something wrong with it. It was an absolute slow turd and was surging anytime you got it to around 4 grand. The engine would just stop pulling, the tach would dance a bit and then all of the sudden it would rev out and shift. The dealer of course said that was "normal" and that was enough. The other 3 didn't do that but weren't any faster by any stretch. I g-tech'd the truck I ordered with a G tech I know is accurate from running it at the track for comparison. The thing was running mid 16's so yeah no thank you. Did I simply drive 4 dud trucks... I doubt it. One was a dud ( the one I ordered) but the other 3 performance wise were no more impressive. I can run mid 16's in my HD so I will leave it at that.

I won't buy anything new anymore, regardless of manufacturer or brand so it's all moot anyhow.

Wow, that's crazy! I know I don't have to tell you there are guys with that same truck in the 14s stone stock. I have a 2010 2500 LY6 today and I can tell you it wouldn't touch my NHT 4x4 truck before the tune, and I've had 285/70R17s on it since it had 20 miles. You sound like you manage to find a lot of lemons, considering the 1500HD. Sorry about your luck. At least you've got a good 05 that you enjoy
