Default NNBS Truck Pros and Cons?

My Dad was looking at getting a 2010-2011 1500 CrewCab 4x4 z71 (all that good stuff)

What are the pros and cons of the truck?
Anything to look out for when buying one?
Won't be a power house so DOD isn't an issue. Thanks Aaron

all i know is that i am more than pleased with my NNBS, it drives and rides like a dream. My buddy has a 2011 NNBS ECSB Z71 4X4, it rides extremely good for a 4X4

yes i like the way they drive also. they main thing he doesn't like is how high up they are. he's 5'8'' and he would have to jump to get in one

i personally like the older body styles better. just more character and craftsmanship. the new ones are very nice to get in and go but just feel so plain or cheap or something. too much plastic inside!!!!!! great mechanics and technology but none of the old body style touches. just my opinion. if he is looking for a truck to not worry about and put the miles on then it would be great.

I am the opposite. I hate small trucks and like stepping up and into my truck. IMO there is no excuse to go with the older body style as the interior is incredibly dated now and the current transmissions and engines are better.

No cons at all. Buy one.

DoD is a great system and does not affect power production.

I'm 5'8" and I have an 11 6.2 NHT 4x4 leveled on 285s. I have no problem getting in my truck. He will be just fine. I love it.

My take on the nnbs;

The interior sucks, the seats have hardly any support and are flat and hard, the dash in the ltz looks like a car and a cheap one at that, the regular dash has no shape to it and cheap looking. The radio is mounted like a car and out of the way to look at as well as all the other controls. The door panles look like it you tried to slam the door you would rip it off. The interiors just flat out suck.

The exterior is nice and I like it but the interior will keep me from having one I believe..

Oh yeah, I don't like the textured dash plastic or the hard headrest. But that's pretty much the end of my problems with the interior. I really like my truck for the most part.

The interior of my GMT800s always looked so dated compared to every other truck of the same vintage. One of my primary reasons for buy a new truck was the interior upgrade. (and the 6-speed)
