Has anyone went to Mexico and bought a 07-08 base model with a manual trans to convert his yet? Seems like a feasible thing to do.

 

I don't remember the members name but I swear I saw someone with a 6spd in their truck.

 

yeah it was the black one, he converted the truck to 5 lug too.

 

User name Daryn on here had a T56 in his truck.

 

yep daryn had one. and he swapped to a disc rear end vs the drum rear end.

he said the 6spd was fun, but not that awsome considering it being a DD style truck.

 

Manual wouldn't be faster at the track than our autos, but would be a lot more fun out on the roads

 

Are the V8's cranks drilled for manual tranny's? I wonder how hard it would be to find a wrecked one south of the boarder? ****, let alone get the parts to me or me to the parts all the way up here in Pittsburgh!

 

i want to say just get a full T56 setup and add the clutch pedal. im not certain as i didnt have a part in the swap, so PM daryn.
