New rims (again)

1) Hand sanded the barrels with 180 grit as the wheels had major pitting and severe scratches.
2) Used a random orbital 5" palm sander and went through 220/320/400/600/800/1000/1500/2000 grit sand paper.
3) Wet sanded 1000/2000 grit sand paper.
4) Used black/green compounds with corded electric drill and dremel.
5) Used Meguiar's heavy cut metal polish.
6) Used Adams metal polish 1&2.
I went backwards in abrasiveness on some of my steps but this is what I found that worked best for me. Even after all of the above you can still see signs of pitting. Here is what they looked like when I got them. These pictures really don't show how bad they were.
