Default New 6.2 ?

Picking up my 2013 ecsb 4x4 6.2 Silverado at noon. Ordered it 6 weeks ago and finally came in. I have a Magnaflow 5x11x22 3 1/2 si/so sitting here to go on at the muffler shop I use which is right across the street from my dealer.

Vote for removing the factory resonator or not, thanks guys.

I voted to keep it. I did a thread a while back on my exhaust which is 4" off the Y pipe and it has a 20" magnaflow. Your muffler would probably quiet it down more than mine did but it droaned like a biatch, which u Prolly won't like. I think the resonator would help with that a good amount, your looking for sound not droan, keep it.

It's a sound cancelling design, no baffles, so it shouldn't hurt performance.
Leave it on for awhile, if you want more sound after you change the muffler
remove it later.

6.2L exhaust 4" no resonator

This is my exhaust thread, there are a few in cab videos and you can hear it has some droan. If you want to prevent that droan keep it, if not cut it off.

If you cut the tailpipe section off the resonator you will see a single hole that's the sound canceling tube. I just welded that hole shut and then welded the tailpipe back on. Honestly I couldn't tell a damm difference before and after if there was a difference it's so minimal I couldn't hardly tell it.
