That makes 3 of us. Mine doesn't spin either.

Truckshop sent me a tune he did for iamkeniffs truck, I didn't load it because there are too many differences.
He had a look at my tune as well and said I need to increase my base timing for low rpm range.
I haven't gotten around to it yet but I might have time on the weekend

Not sure how Diablo works, do you send the hand held back and forth, or do they email you stuff which you load in the handheld with a cable
If they send you files, they may be HPT, and you send me one to look at

Mine will easily brake-torque the tires into dust, and I doublechecked my launch this morning. I turned off the nannies, mashed my foot to the floor, and each tire laid down a strip of rubber on my way of the line. The strips of rubber were long enough to see in my mirrors on my way to 60mph (at least 4 or 5 feet long). I would think with a tune I could easily smoke them all the way through first gear, after they ditch the torque management.

What do you mean by brake-torque, Holding the brake on while using the throttle to
start the tires spinning??
Will your truck light em up without using the brake?

There is something weird about this stuff,
Right now I have 17 inch snow tires and 20 + degree temps and this truck does not break the tires loose, in 2wd
This is the 3rd nnbs Vmax I have had and none of them would break the tires loose without doing a brake stand.
I have had numerous tunes, and the current one is a email tune from a well know tuner that others with the same truck and similiar mods have raved about. I would expect he would have enough in his database to write a tune for me without having the truck.
The last tune I ran in this truck was my own, that I spent alot of time writing with help from others and everything related to trac control and torque reduction had been
reduced or disabled.

As far as the dash buttons go, it seems that even if you disable trac and stab control it enables itself under certain driving conditions.
If I understand that stuff correctly, if it is enabled, it is only active if the light on the dash comes on which it doesn't if I try and break the tires loose on dry pavement.

I am going to take some time and log some different tunes and pull some fuses to see if I can fiqure this out.

The truck really does run well, but you would think it could spin the tires.

Yeah, that's what I meant by brake-torque; however, when I laid down the strips of rubber it was purely by holding down the TC/SC button until TC and StabiliTrak were both disabled, then putting the pedal to the floor. I left two solid strips of rubber, both long enough to be visible in my mirrors while still accelerating at full tilt. Not exactly a hero burnout, but I'm totally stock; I would think that with some tuning I could lay down some longer burnouts from a stop sign. I was also able to get completely sideways on dry pavement and do donuts in the sand without issue.

Something that may be of note: when I hold down the TC/SC button until all nannies are listed as disabled, the light on my dash remains on at all times. It has never flashed in any way while I'm fooling around after holding the button down; it just stays on until I push the button again to turn the stuff back on.

I see what you mean.
What intended to say about the trac/stab is, if it is enabled, it only activates once it detects a wheel speed difference, it then reduces power to prevent further traction loose.
The light will come on in the dash when this occurs and go off once traction is restored.

I don't think it actively tries to prevent traction loose, only stop it once it has occured.

If I hold the button down to diasable it, the dash light stays on, but it seems to have a mind of it's own and reactivates itself.

i am going to do some specific testing on the trac/satb control and l see what I can fiqure out.

Good plan. I have not once had mine turn itself back on after I turned it off. I hold the button until everything is off, the light comes on, I play, then I hit the button when I'm done and the light turns off. I find that very odd, but I am also apparently in the minority as far as the TC/SC goes.
