Default Need input pics 285/45/22 on 22x9 wheels

Just ordered 22x9 Cadillac replicas and was wanting some input on running 285/45/22 tires. Truck is 2008 all terrain extended cab about to get 4/6 drop. Anybody got any pics of these tires mounted? On a lowered truck would be great. Who is running this setup? Like it? Recommendations?

Anyone? Is the 285/45 too wide for 9" rim? Should it be 275/45? I hate when the tire looks bubbled on a rim. I really want to get this right.

I run 285/45R22 tires on my Silverado. They are actually factory takeoffs from an Escalade. I only have a 2/3 drop though. I think it looks good. Sidewall height and bulge is kind of a personal preference.

I have no pics uploaded, but I have those tires on 22x9 wheels with a 4/6. The fronts will rub through your upper wheel well liners. And they will rub some on full lock turns. I just lived with it. Backs were ok.

285/45/22 is what GM put on for factory size on their 22x9 wheels.

When we originally put 22's on my sons truck, we went with 285's. After the tires wore out, switched to 305's. The truck has a 4/7 drop. The tires rub the liners the same as 285's, but are a tad shorter and wider.

Hey guys thanks for all of the info. Greatly appreciated!

Mortiz thanks for the pics! That really helps. Looks like you have quite the project going there.

I will factor all of this in my decision making. Thinking of going with the Kumho Ecsta STX tire. Anyone run these?
