ok i got a 07 new body sierra 1500 with a 5.3. i just had it in the shop 2 and half weeks ago for some warranty work replacing the lifters and driving from work it started ticking bad and oil pressure droped about 10 lbs. any ideas what it could be. warranty just expired but they should still stand behind it being it was just repaired before warranty went out.

Call them up and take it back right away!!! Could be anything from a fault lifter, bad oil pump, spun bearings and so on... Only way to know will be to take it back and let them look it over.

Call them asap and take it to your nearest gm dealer or back to the dealer that did the work.

If not find you a L9H 6.2 scrap the 5.3 and never look back cause it won't be in the shop anymore after that.

i think its maybe a couple lifters but yeah its goin straight to dealer to get looked over. i kinda hope its just that and not the other but either way it should get fixed no problem being it just outside of warranty and only has 70k on the clock. thanks anyways for the help
