Default Muffler swap gone complicated

I was just looking for something a little more pleasing to the ears so I thought I'd do a simple muffler swap with a Borla XR-1 or AT3535. Turns out my local muffler shop is not able to bend anything over 3".... yeah i know .

Has anyone went through this and can provide input? ...or am I the only one?

I don't want a chambered offset muffler and I'm not a magnaflow fan. What about some of that stainless steel "flex pipe"?

Thanks.

Dont use flex pipe. See if theres a semi dealer around. If all your needing is bends they can do it. Or at least have 4 inch pipe pre bent to any angle you would need.

put a turn down off the muffler???

Or order a few 3.5" U bends & have your exhaust guy make a tail pipe... or they can order premade tail pipes that they may be able to modify to fit in 3.5" or 4"

Me too. When I went to install my magnaflow center/offset it wouldn't line up because stock is offset/offset on the 6.2. Ordered a stainless 3.5" 45* from summit and my muffler guy was able to make it work. This was needed to keep the factory resonator and tailpipe.

Thanks guys.
I've thought about dumping it after the muffler but had that before and it drone'd bad plus i want to keep the signature 6.2 tailpipe.

I was hoping some of you had ordered some pre-bends and it worked, which seems to be the case. Can I a few more suggestion on which pieces and places to order from? I appreciate the ones above; just looking to get more options.

Google??

Order a 3.5" U bend from Summit, carry it all to the exhaust shop and your done.... Don't see the big complication there...

We just unbolted the catback, cut out the muff, and rotated the pipe til the after-cat pipe lined up with the over-axle pipe.

I used the dynomax 3.5 round muffler and welded to the stock tailpipe and run a straight pipe up to the cat.
