gears and posi, you probably have 3.42s so upgrade to some 4.10s and while its getting installed rip that paperweight g80 out and get an eaton or detroit.

I have 3.73s but I still only get 2.1 60s. I would think the truck has a 2.0 in it but still yet to get one.

He has a vortecmax. Not only do the newer trucks have an upgraded G80, the Vmax gets a 14bolt rear end.

If your truck is like mine, even with a tune, traction is not a problem. 4.10s would probably help the 60ft, but its still a big heavy truck with a drive by wire engine. I don't see it getting much better.

Id go longtubes, try and drop ET on the top end instead of the launch.

doesn't matter 9.5 inch 14 bolt or not, the design features of the G80 cause it to lock and unlock around 28 mph (give or take don't quote me) pretty much making it an on/off switch and they don't start to slip, they explode, I've seen them out of 14 bolts just as bad as 10 bolts putting spider gears through the cover. I'm just waiting for the sub to pop this rear....the tahoe did it with style on the stock 10 bolt. 150 miles after I put a procharger onto it with a 2800 stall. The sub is on a stock stall and I don't really launch it, but eventually I'm gonna grenade it and the eaton will get the ticket.

If you've seen what a G80 looks like after it pops you wouldn't have too much confidence in it. I've just been lazy with the sub, hell it wasn't even supposed to get anything done to it besides rims but my buddies made me an offer I couldn't refuse to use it to design a blower kit
