Is L9H the code for the LS9 cam? I thought LS9 is VVT and that the VVT was a contributor for the OP's 100hp increase above 5200rpm. I'm researching cams and would like to get my facts straight. It seems like the VVT technology is a move in the right direction for power & fuel mileage.
I talked to Competition Cams and they have a couple offerings in VVT, any info will be appreciated.
Thanks !

LS9 is NOT VVT...none of the Vette motors are
Yes, power can be gained by properly utilizing the VVT system on engines that have it.

Looks like around 5k+ you made about 100hp and 70-80ftlb more than before....peak gain shows 40+ hp, but the ability to keep pulling stronger in the upper band is amazing.
